Make it a gluten-free restaurant night at home with these soft, tasty gluten-free garlic knots!
MAKES 10 GARLIC KNOTS.
1 package Authentic Foods Gluten-Free Pizza Crust Mix
1 (7 g) package of instant yeast
1 1/4 cup water
4 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
8 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon superfine sweet rice flour (or other rice flour for dusting)
1. In a medium mixing bowl, add the Authentic Foods Gluten-Free Pizza Crust Mix and the yeast. Mix the yeast in the flour until it is evenly distributed throughout. Add all the water and 1 TBSP of extra virgin olive oil. Then mix the ingredients together until a dough forms. Portion the dough into 10 balls. Lightly sprinkle sweet rice flour on a surface. Then roll out each piece of dough and tie in into a knot. Cover the dough with saran wrap and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
2. Pre-heat the oven to 450 F and start making the garlic olive oil paste while the dough is rising. Mince the 8 cloves of garlic or use a zester to create a garlic paste. In a small bowl, mix the paste with the 2 TBSP of the extra virgin olive oil and the oregano. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. After the dough has risen, brush the knots with the remaining extra virgin olive oil. Then bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Brush the garlic knots with olive oil garlic paste.
