Coconut Bliss Spring Forward Smoothie Recipe

The layers in this double-decker smoothie have very different flavor profiles, but when stacked in a large glass, they pair excellently. The recipe calls for two kinds of Coconut Bliss dairy-free frozen dessert, and a myriad of nutritious whole foods like freshly squeezed blood oranges, baobab powder, goji berries and spirulina.

If you prefer, you can make just one layer of the Spring Forward smoothie. Try the first layer for an orange creamsicle flavor, or the second layer if you like a nutty taste.

Layer 1 – Orange Banana

Ingredients:

1 pint Coconut Bliss Vanilla Island non-dairy ice cream
4 ounces blood orange juice, freshly squeezed
1 banana, frozen
¼ cup goji berries
2 ounces pomegranate juice

Layer 2 – Macadamia Spirulina

Ingredients:

1 pint Coconut Bliss Naked Coconut non-dairy ice cream
½ cup macadamia nuts
1 teaspoon baobab powder
6 ounces coconut water
1 teaspoon spirulina

Directions:

1. Blend all Layer 1 ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.

2. Rinse your blender. Then blend all Layer 2 ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.

3. Fill a glass halfway with Layer 1.

4. Top the glass with Layer 2. Enjoy!
