Just in time for the holidays, ideas for healthier living will take center stage in Baltimore, Maryland, at the 2nd annual In Good Health Wellness Expo & Holiday Market on Saturday, November 17th. Admission is free.
The event is hosted by the Institute for Integrative Health, a health-centered nonprofit and think tank, and will take place at its headquarters in Baltimore’s Harbor East neighborhood.
“Our Wellness Expo welcomes expert speakers in gluten-free living, cancer-free living, food labeling and genetics,” says Sue Berman, executive director of the Institute. “At the same time, local artisans will be at our Holiday Market, featuring unique, eco-friendly, handmade products that make perfect gifts for friends and family.”
General admission to the Wellness Expo & Holiday Market is free and begins at 10 a.m. A pre-event will kick off at 9 a.m. with a VIP breakfast (cost: $25 in advance, seating limited), that will feature a gluten-free baking demonstration by Jules Shepard. A highly popular gluten-free baking expert, Shepard is the associate editor of Gluten Free & More magazine and author of several gluten-free cookbooks. Bonus: Each breakfast attendee will get a VIP bag with samples and coupons from vendors and local businesses.
This year’s Wellness Expo includes a presentation by Cynthia Kupper, RD, CD, of the Gluten Intolerance Group. Kupper, a member of Gluten Free & More magazine’s advisory board, is an expert on gluten-free living and food labeling laws. Other speakers include Lorenzo Cohen, PhD, and Alison Jefferies, MEd, authors of Anticancer Living: Transform Your Life and Health with the Mix of Six, and Peter D’Adamo, PhD, a naturopathic physician, author and expert in the relationship between diet and genes. D’Adamo is the author of numerous books, including the New York Times bestseller, Eat Right for Your Type.
